Rabino [ rɔm'b inɔ ʲ ] ( German United Rambin ) is a village in Poland and the seat of the rural community in the powiat Świdwiński the West Pomeranian Voivodeship. It lies on the Mogilica ( Muglitz ), a tributary of the Parsęta ( Persante ), within the triangle Białogard ( Belgard ), Połczyn -Zdrój ( Bad Polzin ) and Świdwin ( Schivelbein ).

Village Rabino

Name

The name of the former farming village and the manor is rooted in " ramb " or " rab " which among other things, wood cases, wood chopping or indicates the location on the edge of a deforestation area. So it is here, have given large areas of forest, out of which land is then cultured for arable economy.

History

1882 and 1927 were found in the vicinity of large Rambins Vorwerk Grunhof East Germanic cist tombs that point to an early settlement of the place. In the 13th century the United Rambin was a fief of the family von Manteuffel and went 1628-1665 Family Podewils, which - after an otherwise interim possession - from 1756 to 1801 was once again. Successor was 1801-1830 Baron of sealed -summer. 1831 auctioned August Wilhelm Guse the Good for 21,000 dollars and handed it to his 23- year-old son Otto Guse, who sold it after his wife's death in 1855, but in 1890 was buried in United Rambin. Church

Great Rambin belonged until 1945 to the parish Arnhausen ( Lipie ) in the church Belgard county in Pomerania church of the Evangelical Church of the Old Prussian Union.

1927 was the site of a church of their own. It was built as a plastered brick building with transept and laterally offset tower and inaugurated on October 2, 1927. The church was taken over in 1945 by the Roman Catholic Church in Poland.

Evangelical Christians who live here today, belong to the Diocese of Pomerania - Greater Poland, based in Sopot ( Sopot ) of the Evangelical-Augsburg Church in Poland. The competent parish is the Parafia Koszalin ( Koszalin ), whose pastor worship among others holds in Białogard and Świdwin in Białogard periodically in German language.

School

In the three classrooms of the village school taught in 1928, seven teachers 110 girls and boys.

Economy and Transport

Agriculture was formed - in addition to the timber industry - the main livelihood of the people living. Grain yield of the farm animals in the breeding of Oldenburg cattle and sheep. A special attraction was the salmon trout catch in the Muglitz (now Mogilica ).

The manor - a model farm of 538 ha - included a sand-lime brick factory, also had a water mill with a saw mill and a windmill in operation. At the site in the early 1940s there were numerous craft and commercial enterprises located, including two bakeries, a distillery ( the largest of its kind in Pomerania ), a butcher, a nursery, an electrical and bicycle shop, a hairdresser, a department store and the restaurant " Deutsches Haus " with food sales. Due to its well-developed infrastructure, goods and services in the United Rambin was also well received by residents of the surrounding villages.

Great Rambin is still a railway station on the route Berlin - Stettin - Pomerania - Danzig - Königsberg ( Prussia). Through the site, only a secondary road that connects Białogard with Świdwin. The large main roads round it, but can be reached quickly.

Gmina Rabino

Community information

Rabino is the seat of the rural municipality ( gmina wiejska ) Rabino with almost 4,000 inhabitants. The municipal area is 180 km ², so a population density of 21.9 inhabitants per km ² is.

Until 31 December 1998, the Gmina of Koszalin Voivodeship belonged to Rabino ( Koszalin ). In today's West Pomeranian Voivodeship, the country parish Rabino takes a total of 114 municipalities in terms of area corresponding to the 64th one, in terms of population it ranks 94th

Attractions

The landscape of the municipal area is highly visible marked by forests (35 % of the municipality ), with its pine and beech forests. Numerous streams and small lakes full of fish can be found, making the region for visitors and holidaymakers attractive. Rabino is on the trail of the Pojezierze Drawski ( Dramburger Lakeland ) to the Baltic Sea coast near Koszalin.

The community is free from congested main thoroughfares, but by car from the European Route 28 (Berlin - Stettin - Pomerania - Gdansk - Kaliningrad - Vilnius - Minsk) Karlino ( Körlin ) about Białogard easy to reach. The connection to the Polish State Railways (PKP ) is present: with the train stations Rabino and Nielep on the railway line Stargard - Gdańsk.
