Rachel McLish
Rachel McLish, born Raquel Livia Elizondo ( born June 21, 1955 in Harlingen, Texas ) is an American bodybuilder, actress and author.
Life
McLish attended Pan American University in Edinburg.
In addition to Lisa Lyon McLish was one of the first female bodybuilders who achieved international fame through competitions. In 1980 she won the U.S. Bodybuilding Championships. A few months later she became the first Ms. Olympia, a success they could repeat in 1982. In the same year, it achieved first place in the World Pro Championships. She was inducted into the IFBB Hall of Fame in 1999.
After their active bodybuilding career McLish appeared in several films, released fitness videos as well as two successful books about their training concept, which appeared in the New York Times bestseller list.
McLish currently lives with her husband, film producer Ron Samuels, in Southern California.
