Radošovce, Skalica District

Geography

The municipality is located in the traditional landscape Zahorie, geomorphologically the hills Chvojnická pahorkatina. At the site over the brook Chvojnica, a left-side tributary of March ( Slovak Morava ) flows. Radošovce is on the main road 51 and is 10 miles from Holic and Skalica as well as 13 kilometers from Senica away.

In addition to the main town Radošovce belongs to the municipality and the district Vieska (since 1976).

History

The original village was first mentioned in 1297 as Rasolyz writing. However, this went down after a devastating attack Hussites in the 15th century. The new town emerged as a town on Rassich in a document from 1473. The market rights were allocated in 1554. In the late Middle Ages and modern times the place belonged largely to the reign of the castle the castle, the castle later holic, except in years 1730-1776 ( pledge to the Jesuits of Skalica ). 1828 are listed 137 houses and 965 inhabitants. The population lived mainly from agriculture, weaving and oil pressing.
