Rafael Bastos

Rafael Bastos (born 1 January 1985 in Rio de Janeiro ) is a Brazilian footballer. He stands in January 2013 in al -Nasr in Saudi Arabia under contract.

Career

Bastos began at the age of ten years playing football at EC Bahia, where he also began his professional footballer career in 2006. After a short time at Cruzeiro in the summer of 2007 he moved to Europe and signed with Portuguese first division club Belenenses Lisbon. With the club, he finished the 2007/08 season on a place in the midfield. He then joined the league rivals Nacional Funchal from the island of Madeira.

In Madeira he could not prevail, and returned after half a year to EC Vitória back in his Brazilian homeland. There he won the Campeonato Baiano, the Regional Championship of Bahia. In summer 2009, he moved to Consadole Sapporo in Japan's second division. At the beginning of 2010 he returned to Europe, where he joined the Portuguese club SC Braga joined, with whom he placed second at the end of the 2009 /10 and was able to achieve the best result in the club's history.

In summer 2010, Bastos joined CFR Cluj in the Romanian League 1, where he was in the 2010/11 season for stem force. After a streaky first year he won the following season with the championship in 2012 his first title. In January 2013, he moved to Al Nasr in Saudi Arabia. After a year he returned in January 2014 back to Europe and signed with Levski Sofia.
