Rafael Medina (2011)

Rafael Medina ( born October 8, 1979 in Guadalajara, Jalisco ) is a Mexican footballer who acts in midfield.

Life

His first game in the Mexican Primera División denied Medina for Reboceros La Piedad on July 22, 2001 compared his hometown club Chivas Guadalajara (1-1), in which he then stood between summer 2002 and December 2005 under contract. In the Clausura 2006 he completed a six-monthly stint with Santos Laguna before he returned to his hometown and the following five and a half years stood at the Estudiantes Tecos under contract.

He left in late 2011, the Tecos and signed for the Clausura 2012 a contract with the second division Tiburones Rojos Veracruz.

His first goal in La Liga he achieved on 31 January 2002 against Morelia, when he came on in the 73rd minute and already hit a minute later. More than the score back to 1:2 wanted his team on this day, however, not succeed. He received his only red card on 28 November 2004 in stoppage time a Clásico Tapatío in which Chivas in the quarter- finals of the Liguilla against his city rivals Atlas ( 3:3 ) failed after the first leg was lost 0-1.

His only use for the Mexican national team graduated from Medina on 27 April 2005 in a friendly against Poland which ended 1-1.
