Rajko Lekić

Radivoje Lekić, short Rajko Lekić (born 3 July 1981 in Ballerup, Denmark ) is a Danish football player, who also owns the Montenegrin citizenship.

Birth and childhood

Lekic was born in 1981 as son of Montenegrin immigrants from the former Yugoslavia in Ballerup. He grew up also in Copenhagen countryside.

Career

Rajko Lekic began his career at B.93 Copenhagen. About Boldklubben Avarta, Herfølge BK and Fremad Amager Lekic landed in Winter 2003 Silkeborg IF. There he shot in one and a half years in his 35 games 37 goals. From 2004 to 2006 he played in the Spanish second division side Xerez. There, however, he could not prevail, and came only nine starts. After this unsuccessful stint, he returned to his Danish home and played for Odense BK henceforth. But even there it was not running around for him and so he was loaned in the winter for half a year to Hungary. In the first division Zalaegerszegi TE FC he came to 23 games and six goals. In summer 2007, he moved to Esbjerg fB. There he came in 23 games to six hits. In 2008, he returned on loan to Silkeborg IF. There he found his way back to its former strength and shot in the first round in 17 games 14 goals. Silkeborg pulled thereupon the option to buy.

In summer 2010 Lekic changed again abroad and went to the Turkish first division club Konyaspor. But a short time later Lekic returned to Silkeborg IF, as the Turks Lekics content could not be transferred. Mid-2011 he again went abroad; this time he returned to Europe and back to North America to sign with the American League Major League Soccer. A short time later he was accepted by the club New England Revolution. In early 2012 he returned to Europe and was again active in his native Denmark; Lekic signed with Lyngby BK.

National

After good performances in Silkeborg Rajko Lekic was national coach Morten Olsen for the trip to Asia League team ( a team that consists entirely of players of the Danish league and its games are not counted as official internationals ) nominated. He played in all three games and scored in the matches against Singapore and Thailand each have a goal.

His first real senior international Lekic completed on 3 March 2010 in Vienna with the 1-2 defeat against Austria. He came off the bench there in 61 minutes for Nicklas Bendtner.
