Ramadan Yasser

Ramadan Yasser Abdel Ghaffar ( born July 19, 1980 in Gharbiya el- Saqriya, government al - New Valley ) is an Egyptian boxer.

Amateur career

Ramadan Yasser Abdel Ghaffar is about 1.85 tall and comes from the same hometown as the successful boxer Mohamed HIKAL. He fought as an amateur middleweight ( 69 to 75 kg), light heavyweight ( 75-81 kg) Heavyweight ( 81-91 kg) and super heavyweight ( over 91 kg).

He represented Egypt in the middleweight division at the Summer Olympic Games 2000 in Sydney and 2004 in Athens, as well as in the light heavyweight division at the 2008 Games in Beijing. 2000 and 2004 he was respectively the youngest members of the Egyptian Olympiaboxmannschaft.

At the 2003 World Championships in Bangkok, he defeated Leon Hinds from the U.S. and Abulikemu Abudureheman from China, before he was defeated by Oleg Mashkin from Ukraine and reached number 5. He won another 5th place at the 2007 World Championships in Chicago. After victories against Badou Jack from Sweden and Eleider Alvarez from Colombia, he lost to Daugirdas Semiotas from Lithuania. Also the Military World Championships in 2006 in Warendorf he came in 5th place and won at the 52nd World Military Championships 2008 in Baku the bronze medal in the super heavyweight division.

1999, 2003 and 2007, he won the 7th, 8th and 9th Pan-African Games in the cities of Johannesburg, Abuja and Algiers. He slammed into the finals Eromosele Albert, Hassan N'Dam N'Jikam and Abdelhafid Benchabla. In 2001 he won the 14th Mediterranean Games in Tunis and reached number 2 in the 4th Francophone Games in Ottawa; he lost it in the final Lucian Bute. In 2005 he reached after a defeat against Marijo Šivolija 5th place at the 15th Mediterranean Games in Almería and won at the 5th Francophone Games in Niamey.

He also won the 2007 nor the 15th African Championships in Antananarivo, the 24 th Arab Championships in Ariana, the first Arab military championships in Algiers and the 11th Pan Arab Games in Cairo.

He is also winner of several international tournaments, including the 9th Hakija Turajlić tournament in Bosnia in 2003 and the 3rd Mohamed VI Trophy in Morocco in 2008.

Professional career

In 2010 he moved to the United States turned professional and moved it to New York City. He won so far every one of his eight fights, five by knockout.
