Raphaël Guerreiro

Raphaël Guerreiro (born 22 December 1993, Le Blanc -Mesnil ) is a Portuguese- French footballer.

Career

Guerreiro, who started playing football in his native Le Blanc -Mesnil, changed in 2005 with eleven years to the Centre National Fernand- Sastre technique, also known as INF Clairefontaine. For three years he was educated there and committed in the summer of 2008 for the youth team of professional clubs SM Caen. His move was delayed, however, because he had previously suffered an injury sustained in a game against Caen. From 2010 he ran in Caen regularly in the reserve team on, for which he took up in the fourth division. After two years in the fourth division signed in 2012 as an 18- year-old his first pro contract and was included in the squad of the second division team. For this he made his debut on 27 July of the same year, when he came to use against the Gazelec FC Ajaccio. Even during his first professional season, he was promoted to Caen for a regular player and stood in all 38 league games on the court.

His rapid breakthrough in 2013 aroused the interest of many first division, including the AS Monaco, the same year undertook international players with professionals like Falcao. Ultimately, it was also the first-class FC Lorient, who was awarded the contract for a change early in the season 2013/14; after an initial demand of Caen, in the amount of five million euros a transfer fee of two and a half million euros has been overdue. On August 10, 2013, and so the first match of the new season, he ran over the full length of the match at 0-1 against the OSC Lille and thus debuted in the top French league. In the following years he was able to consolidate his place on the left defensive side.

National

As a result of his success at Caen was Guerreiro, who would have been eligible to play for both Portugal and France for the first time takes into account some time after his 19th birthday for the Portuguese U -21 and ran for this at 0-1 against Sweden on 21 March from the outset. According to Guerreiro it was the Portuguese U-21 coach Rui Jorge, who had led him to this decision.
