Raphael Urweider

Raphael Urweider ( born November 5, 1974 in Bern ) is a Swiss writer, director and musician.

Life

The son of the Reformed pastor and author Andreas Urweider grew up in the shadow half and went to school in Biel. After the baccalaureate, he studied German and philosophy at the University of Fribourg. He now lives in Bern.

Urweider is a poet, who ( as with hip-hop group L' Deep as Bidrmaa ) also occurs as a musician and rapper and often makes use in his texts from a variety of playful language techniques. With Samuel Black, he wrote two plays that were premiered at the Maxim Gorki Theater and at the Hamburger Schauspielhaus. Urweider was 2008-2010 Co- Director of the Battle Theater Bern.

In May 2012, Raphael Urweider was elected president of the AdS.
