Recreation Ground (Bath)

Recreation Ground (also called The Rec; literal translation: Recreation Area ) is a stadium in the English city of Bath. It is north of the city center right on the banks of the River Avon and offers 10,300 spectators. The stadium was built in 1880, is mainly used for rugby union and is the home ground of Bath Rugby. In the summer, each removed the temporary East Stand, to make room for cricket. This cricket pitch is mostly used for local games, twice a year, but also by the Somerset County Cricket Club as part of the County Championship.
