Sandy Park

The Sandy Park is a rugby union stadium in Exeter, Devon in South West England. It is the home of the Exeter Chiefs, who play in the English top flight rugby union league since the 2010/11 season. The new home of the Chiefs was inaugurated on 1 September 2006, at that time with only 8,000 seats, and cost £ 15 million. The new building replaced the old County Ground. After promotion to the Aviva Premiership 2010/11, the stadium was expanded to its current size.

In addition to the sports facilities of Sandy Park was conceived as a meeting and conference center. There are at Sandy Park Conference & Banqueting Centre four large and eleven smaller rooms. By moving walls the rooms for four to 475 people can be equipped. Furthermore, weddings, family celebrations and other festivities can be aligned.

In 2011, the club members agreed with expanding the stadium to 20,000 seats. However, an exact date is not activated for it.
