Regency Enterprises

Regency Enterprises, founded in 1989 by Arnon Milchan, is an American production and distribution company for feature films and television productions. Within the Group acts New Regency Productions ( founded in 1991 ) as a film production company, while TV productions created by Regency Television, a joint venture formed in 1999 between Regency and Fox Television Studios.

For the distribution of its productions Regency operates in each case together with steady partners, from 1991 to 1998 Warner Bros. was responsible for the distribution of New Regency Productions. In the course of 1998, was signed with 20th Century Fox (TCF ), a new distribution agreement with a term of 15 years, which occurred in early 1999 in force and enabled the establishment of Regency Television. The distribution agreement ensures TCF worldwide distribution rights, with the exception of the foreign television rights, the Regency individual perceives and U.S. pay- TV rights for which there is a firm agreement with Home Box Office. An exception is the German -speaking countries, for which there is a sales and financing agreement with Epsilon Motion Pictures, a former Kirch subsidiary that was purchased in November 2005 by the cinema world.

Major productions are Sommersby ( Jodie Foster and Richard Gere ) or Heat ( with Al Pacino and Robert De Niro), and the television series Malcolm in the Middle. By 2007, Regency has the world rights for the tournaments of the Association of professioniellen WTA tennis players. By now, at Regency over 100 titles to choose from.
