Reginald III, Duke of Guelders

Rainald III. of funds (* May 13, 1333; † December 4, 1371 ) was Duke of funds.

He was the eldest son of Rainald II of his second marriage to Eleanor, daughter of King Edward II, and succeeded him as Duke.

He was forced to alliance with England, fled in 1347 and formed an alliance with Brabant.

His younger brother Edward led from 1350 with support from the mother a vendetta against him and took him in 1361 at the Battle of Tiel caught.

Edward came in 1371 at the Battle of Baesweiler killed. Rainald was released from prison and was reinstated as regent. He died three months later childless and was buried in Graefenthal monastery. With him ended the male line of the House of Wassenberg, the family of Flamenses.
