Regional League Division 2
The Thailand Division 2 League ( Thai: ไทย ลีก ดิวิชั่น 2 ) is the third highest football league in Thailand. It was first introduced in 2006 to be equal reformed the following year, for the 2008 season. Thus, the league is divided into the 2008 season, in two groups of eleven teams. The teams were divided along geographical lines: In group B originate almost without exception, all teams from the city of Bangkok. In group A, there are teams from the other provinces of Thailand. Away trips over longer distances have to be traveled often for reasons of cost by country bus.
On 7 September 2008, the last round of the 2008 season took place. After completion of the 22 game season -ending days are as promoted in the Thailand Division 1 League fixed: FC Prachinburi, Songkhla FC, the Army Welfair Department and the FC Si Saket.

Ascent / descent control
The top two teams of each group rise in the Thailand Division 1 League. From the teams finishing the places 7-11 of each group, plus two climbers from the Regional League, the newly founded Thailand Division 3 League is formed. The Thailand Division 3 League is to be introduced from 2009.
