Regions of Cameroon

The 10 regions of Cameroon are the highest Administrative divisions of Cameroon. The term regions they wear since 12 November 2008, when the then and current president Paul Biya previously existing " provinces of Cameroon " renamed by decree regions.

In eight of these regions is French the official language in the two regions, South West ( fr. Sud -Ouest ) and North West ( fr. Nord-Ouest ) is the official language English.

The regions are further subdivided into 58 districts ( departments / départements), with more than 300 municipalities ( arrondissements ).
