Re:Ignition

Re: Ignition is an American hard rock band from San Francisco, California that was founded in 2003 under the name Def Ignition.

History

The band was formed in 2003 by guitarists Jack Cargile and Steev Esquivel, bassist Mike Kaufmann and drummer Hugo. From August Esquivel joined the band Skinlab, so that the project was initially interrupted. Later Esquivel announced with Travis Neal a suitable singer to have found.

In 2004, the members of the band again changed greatly. Besides Esquivel was Dave Moore singer of the band, while Tim Howell electric guitar, Johnny Montanio the bass and Mark Hernandez played the drums. In January 2004 the band recorded their first demo in April and changed its name to Re: Ignition around. The following month came bassist Burl "Snake" Blakk, also at Skinlab worked to cast. Then the band went into the Trident Studios to accommodate five new demo songs. After Esquivel took the vocalist position of Exodus on a tour of the Americas. In spring 2005, the band signed a management contract with Archetype management. In June, a music video for the song Lef Behind under the direction of Shawn Sparks was shot. In 2006 the debut album appeared Empty Heart: Loaded Gun on Corporate Punishment Records.

Style

The band plays hard rock reminiscent of bands such as SOiL, Sevendust and Staind. The song can be described as a mix of Chris Cornell ( Soundgarden ) and Eddie Vedder (Pearl Jam ).
