The clean home ( Odenw ) station is the station of pure home in southern Hessen Odenwald. He used to be hub of Gersprenztal, Odenwald and Rodgaubahn, today the station has lost much of its importance.
History
The station was opened on 15 May 1871 when the second section of Odenwaldbahn (upper Ramstadt - clean home ) by the Hessian Ludwig Railway. On October 10, 1887, also private Gersprenz Valley Railway, also known as the Odenwald Lizzie was connected by Reichel home to the Odenwaldbahn. The station was designed, therefore, as a community station between the Hessian Ludwig Railway and the clean Home Reichelsheimer Railway (RRE ). The majority of the station took the Ludwig Railway, only three tracks - a platform track including Umfahrgleis and a dead-end track - were used by the RRE. On 1 October 1896, the Rodgaubahn of clean home on Dieburg to Offenbach was opened on Main. 1897, the Hessian Ludwig Railway was nationalized in the Prussian - Hessian Railway Community.

The clean home station was extensively remodeled in the modernization of Odenwaldbahn in 2007. The rail tracks were dismantled down to two tracks and the turning to large -Bieberau. The platforms were also modernized and increased to 55 cm, the previous agent platform replaced by a new outdoor platform. The old semaphore signals were replaced by light signals.
The interlocking " clean home Rf " comes from the club museum interlocking Clean Home Foundation 2008 and is being restored. There is a museum for signal boxes and signaling technique is established. The building was 2009 100 years old.

Clean home is located in the tariff area of the Rhine -Main Transport Association ( RMV).
Train
From Reinshein today only operate (2012 ) nor the Broad Odenwaldbahn ( RMV line 65) on weekdays in about a half hour, Saturdays and Sundays every hour. In clean home hold Regional Express, City Express and Regional trains. The passenger service is provided by the transport company VIAS.
In irregular sections takes place special traffic on the remaining piece of Gersprenz Valley Railway. It run old steam trains between clean home and wholesale Bieberau.
