Reinsdorf is a district of the town Nebra (Unstrut ) in Burgenland district, in Saxony -Anhalt.

Geography

Reinsdorf is located on the Unstrut between the cities of Halle (Saale ) and Weimar.

History

Reinsdorf was first mentioned as " Reginhardesdorf " documented in the " Breviarium Sancti Lulli " 786. 1112 was the Benedictine monastery Reinsdorf, which was dissolved after the Reformation. The Bamberg Ministerialengeschlecht " Reinsdorf " had its headquarters here. The monastery was ordained in 1135 by the bishop of Bamberg Otto I. instead. The place holds enlightening sites in German cultural history. For example, relics of a three-aisled basilica with a transept and choir, which was used after the lifting of the associated monastery of the population of Reinsdorf as a quarry. Following the years after the Thirty Years War, the ruined church was remodeled into a parish church and anno 1740 restored in the baroque style.

• Through the village the Unstrut path which between Naumburg ( Saale) and Artern / Unstrut goes wrong.
