René Botteron

René Botteron ( born October 17, 1954) is a former Swiss football player.

Botterons home club was FC Glarus. From there overtook him the FC Zurich, where he developed into a national player. In 1980 he came to vote for the Swiss footballer of the year to 2nd place.

There was a change to the 1 FC Cologne, but where the Swiss midfielder could never convince properly. He suffered from the fact that the team with Dieter Müller, Bernd Schuster, Tony Woodcock, Rainer Bonhof, Bernhard Cullmann, Klaus Fischer, Klaus Allofs and Stephan Engels had many stars at this time in their ranks, which is not their place in the team could be contested. In the 1981/82 season he was loaned to the Cologne Reserve Bank in the winter of 1981 after a long time at Standard Liege.
