Rhys Williams (athlete)

Rhys Williams (born 27 February 1984 in Cardiff ) is a Welsh athlete.

Rhys Williams was in the 400 - meter hurdles Junior European Champion 2001, European Junior Champion 2003 and European U23 Champion 2005. At the 2006 Commonwealth Games, he finished fourth in 49.09 s, 2010, he won in 49.19 s the bronze medal.

At the European Championships 2006, he won the bronze medal in 49.12 seconds before Naman Keïta (France) in 49.13 s, he was able to overtake just before the finish line with an energetic sprint. With the British 4 x 400 - meter relay team, he won silver behind the French squadron with Keïta.
