Ribera Baja del Ebro

Ribera Baja del Ebro ( Ribera Aragonese Baxa de l' Ebro, dt Lower Ebro banks ) is a Comarca (administrative unit ) of the Spanish autonomous region of Aragon. It is located in the province of Zaragoza and has an area of ​​989.9 km ² 9,418 inhabitants. Capital of Valle is Quinto. The name of the Comarca derives from the fact that it is located east of the Zaragoza seen from there lower course of the Ebro.

The Comarca is bordered to the north by the Monegros, on the west by the comarca of Zaragoza, in the south of Campo de Belchite and Bajo Martín and on the east by the comarca of Bajo Aragón - Caspe. In addition Quinto Ribera Baja del Ebro include the communities Alborge, Alforque, Cinco Olivas, Escatrón, Gelsa, Pina de Ebro, Quinto, Sástago, Velilla de Ebro and La Zaida.

For cultural heritage of the comarca heard the Monasterio de Rueda, a Cistercian monastery in the municipality Sástago, as well as the remains of the original Colonia Victrix Iulia Lepida called Roman colony in Velilla de Ebro at Celsa.
