Richard Band

Richard belt ( born December 28, 1953 in Los Angeles, California) is an American film composer.

Life

Richard band is the son of film producer Albert band and brother of film director and producer Charles Band. In 1978 he first appeared as a composer for film music in appearance and together with Joel Goldsmith he was responsible for the music for Laser Kill - responsible death rays from space. To date, he is primarily involved in horror and low budget productions. A number of films were produced by his brother and / or staged. His work includes 80 or so productions.

Several times he collaborated with director Stuart Gordon. Their first production was Re-Animator from the year 1985.

Occasionally tape also works for television. So he composed in the late 1990s, the music for several episodes of the series Walker, Texas Ranger and Stargate - Kommando SG -1.

For his music resulted Dreams In The Witch House the TV series Masters of Horror band was nominated for an Emmy.
