Richarda Schmeißer

Richarda Schmeisser ( born August 20, 1954 in Zeitz, after marriage Richarda Hartmann) is a former German gymnast devices that belonged from 1970 to 1975 for GDR national team. She started for the SC Chemie Halle.

Career

Richarda bouncers moved in 1966 from Dynamo Zeitz for SC Chemie Halle. Her first major international appearance was at the World Cup 1970 in Ljubljana, as they with the East German team (see picture) won the silver medal behind the Soviet gymnasts in the all-around score they occupied the 23th Place.

After she became second in 1972 on the ground and third on uneven bars at the East German championship, Richarda bouncer took part in the Olympic Games in Munich. The crew of the GDR won silver behind the Soviet team in the cast Irene Abel, Angelika Hellmann, Karin Janz, Richarda bouncer, Christine Schmitt and Erika Zuchold. In multiplayer battle bouncer came in twelfth place, a singles final did not reach them.

In 1974 bouncer on the uneven bars her first DDR titles. At the World Championships 1974 in Varna, the GDR team with Irene Abel, Heike Gerisch, Angelika Hellmann, Bärbel Rohrich, Richarda bouncer and Annelore prong again won silver behind the Soviet team. In 1972 she received for her sporting achievements the Patriotic Order of Merit in bronze.
