Richmond Valley is located in the northeast of the country about 720 km north of the city of Sydney and 230 km south of Brisbane. The area includes 62 districts and towns, including Bora Ridge, Busby Flat, Ellangowan, Evans Head, Stratheden, Tabbimoble, Tatham, Tomki, Woodburn, Wyan and Yorklea and parts of Broadwater, Coraki and Casino. The administrative headquarters of the council is located in the town casino in the northeast of the LGA, in which about 9,400 inhabitants.

Management

The Council of Richmond Valley has nine members. Eight Councillor and the Council President and Mayor ( mayor) are elected directly by the residents of the LGA. Richmond Valley is not divided into districts.
