Rico Benatelli
Rico Benatelli ( born March 17, 1992) is a German - Italian footballer.
Career
Rico Benatelli played from a young age at VfL Bochum, where his father Frank Benatelli worked as a professional footballer. After playing nine years for the VfL , he moved in 2008 to the youth department of Borussia Dortmund. However, in the A- youth it was anything but good for him, he retired two metatarsal fractures and saw his career at risk at senior level.
But despite his serious injury, he got a contract for the U-23 team of the BVB. After a six -year run it has established itself in the regional troupe of David Wagner and became an important service provider. On 28 January 2012, he scored against the second team of Bayer 04 Leverkusen in the 87th minute of the 2-1 victory and a 1-0 away win over SC Idar -Oberstein, he advanced through his goal match winner. After the second team at the end of the first round 14 points behind had to Sportfreunde Lotte and the resulting single promotion place, the team launched a furious comeback in the second half, with 52 of a maximum of 57 possible achievable points and managed so that with one point ahead of Lotte the promotion to the Football League 3rd 2012/13.
For the 2012/13 season Benatelli was nominated for the Champions League squad BVB as a player of the B- list. Previously, he participated in the preparation of professionals due to the many EM driver.
On July 21, 2012, he graduated in the 0-2 opening defeat at VfL Osnabrück his debut in the third league. On July 28, 2012, the second matchday of the 2012/13 season, he scored his first Profitor at home to Arminia Bielefeld (1:1). On the 4th Round, he helped his team by two goals in a 2-1 home victory over SV Wacker Burghausen. On 18 May 2013, the program with his team managed a 1-0 win at VfB Stuttgart II, through this secured the U -23 on the 38th and last game in the league in 3rd league.
For the 2013/14 season Benatelli a free transfer to FC Erzgebirge Aue.
