The Rinner Spitz, known locally also Peißenberg (not to be confused with the Hohenpeißenberg ), is a 1611 -meter high peak in the mountains in Schliersee Mangfallgebirge. Here, the poacher Georg Jennerwein was shot in the back on November 6, 1877.

The Rinner Spitz is situated between the top of the 1668 meter high floor cutting (430 meters to the southeast ) and the 1552 -meter-high water Spitz ( 653 meters north-northeast ) is exactly on the border between the municipalities of Rottach -Egern in the west and Schliersee in the southern district of Miesbach as the said neighboring peaks east lie. At the ridge from the water for Rinner Spitz Spitz, ie, on the northern flank of the summit, is the Jennerwein Memorial Cross. The municipal border with these and other peaks marked there, the watershed between the Schliersee and Tegernsee Lake.

The DAV- Accommodation Cottage house on the ground cutting Rettenböckalm, 500 meters northeast of Rinner Spitz, is the closest building. The nearest town is the small hamlet Enterrottach ( the municipality of Rottach -Egern ), 1,3 km to the west of the Valepp - road from the outskirts Valepp direction (south) is a toll road. The Spitzingsee lies about two miles to the east and the border to Tyrol at the knacker nearly eight kilometers to the south (in each case a straight line ).
