Robert Brom

Robert Henry Brom ( born September 18, 1938 in Arcadia, Wisoncsin ) is an American clergyman and Bishop Emeritus of San Diego.

Life

Robert Henry Brom received on 18 December 1963 the ordination to the priesthood for the Diocese of Winona.

Pope John Paul II appointed him on March 25, 1983 Bishop of Duluth. The Archbishop of Saint Paul and Minneapolis, John Robert Roach inaugurated it on 23 May of the same year the bishop; Loras Joseph Watters were co-consecrators, Bishop of Winona, and Paul Francis Anderson, Auxiliary Bishop of Sioux Falls.

On April 22, 1989 he was appointed Coadjutor Bishop of San Diego. After the retirement Leo Thomas Maher he followed him on 10 July 1990 after the Bishop of San Diego.

On September 18, 2013 Francis Pope accepted his resignation due to age.
