Robert Desmettre

Robert Desmettre (* August 5, 1901 in Neuville -en- Ferrain, Nord, France, † March 6, 1936 in Tourcoing, Nord, France) was a French water polo players.

Delberghe met with Paul Dujardin, Georges Rigal, Noël Delberghe, Henri Padou, Albert and Albert Deborgies Mayaud the Olympic water polo tournament in Paris in 1924 in part, in which he won the gold medal. He was one of the top scorers of the French Olympic team in water polo. In a 3-1 win against the United States in the first round he threw two goals, while 6-3 against the Netherlands in the quarterfinals even three. He also threw both in a 4-2 over Sweden in the semifinals, and 3-0 over Belgium in the final, two goals each.
