Robert Earnshaw

Robert " Robbie" Earnshaw ( born April 6, 1981 in Mufulira, Zambia ) is a Welsh footballer. His father is from Wales and his mother from Zambia. Since 2013 he is at the Toronto FC under contract.

Career

Association

Earnshaw's first professional team was the Welsh capital club Cardiff City. 1999 pushed the attacker into the professional squad of the club. Previously, he played in the youth department of the Bluebirds. In order to give him more playing time, Earnshaw 2000 was awarded to Greenock Morton. There, however, he made just three games. After his return, the then young players developed a key player of the team and played in the starting lineup. In the summer of 2004 he moved to West Bromwich Albion. On 11 September 2004, he gave his competitive debut for the new club. Until his first goal for West Brom Earnshaw had to wait seven more games. On 6 November 2004, he contributed two goals in the 2-2 draw against his team at the team at Southampton. He became the first player to score in all four English professional leagues such by a hat-trick on 19 March 2005. After again just missing out on promotion to the Football League Championship 2010/ 11 of the Treaty of Earnshaw (34 games / 8 goals) ran out. The reduced supply of the Association for a contract extension he refused and joined free transfer to Cardiff City.

On September 20, 2012 Earnshaw moved on loan to Israel Maccabi Tel Aviv. Since 2013 he is at the Toronto FC under contract.

National

Earnshaw heard since 2002 on a regular basis to the Executive of the Welsh national team. He made his debut in 2002 in a friendly match. On 14 May 2002 Earnshaw stood by his debut game for the senior team in the starting of the Welsh. In the 1-0 win over Germany he scored the winning goal for his team.
