Robert James Eaton

Robert James Eaton ( born February 13, 1940 in Buena Vista, Colorado, USA ) is an American manager who was active primarily in the automotive industry.

Life

Robert Eaton grew up in Arkansas City in the U.S. state of Kansas and studied mechanical engineering at the University of Kansas, he graduated in 1963 with the degree Bachelor of Science degree.

He became CEO of Chrysler Corporation in 1993. After the merger between Chrysler and Daimler -Benz in 1998, he led, together with Jürgen Schrempp, the newly created DaimlerChrysler AG ( now Daimler AG). On April 1, 2000 Eaton retired from DaimlerChrysler AG, Juergen Schrempp became the sole CEO.

Eaton is married and has two sons.
