Robert MacNeil

Robert MacNeil ( born January 19, 1931 in Montreal) is a Canadian-American journalist, author and television presenter.

Life

MacNeil graduated from Carleton University in Ottawa. After his studies he worked as a journalist in the news sector of ITV plc based in London and then moved to Reuters and later to NBC News as a correspondent in Washington, DC and New York City. He wrote several books as an author. From 1975 to 1995 MacNeil had in common with Jim Lehrer, host of the television programs The Robert MacNeil Report / The MacNeil / Lehrer Report / The MacNeil / Lehrer NewsHour.
