Roberta Maxwell
Roberta Maxwell ( born 1942 in Ontario ) is a Canadian actress.
Life and achievements
Maxwell made his debut in 1960 in a speaking role in the television series Just Mary. In the film drama A Great Big Thing (1968 ), she played one of the major roles. In the late 1960s and in the 1970s she appeared in numerous plays. In the comedy Not bad at all, she starred alongside Trini Alvarado, John Lithgow and Olympia Dukakis; in the musical comedy Popeye - The sailor with the hard blow, she performed alongside Robin Williams. She played a greater role opposite Anthony Perkins, Diana Scarwid and Jeff Fahey in the psychological thriller Psycho III from the year 1986.
In the film drama Philadelphia by Jonathan Demme, who won two Oscars, Maxwell played a judge. The role of the SF - drama Last Night brought her in 1999 was nominated for a Genie Award. As a leading actress in the Canadian television drama Scar Tissue, she was nominated in 2003 for the Gemini Award. In excellent three Academy Drama Brokeback Mountain she played the mother of Jack Twist ( Jake Gyllenhaal ).
