Roberto Donati

Roberto Donati ( born March 15, 1983 in Rieti ) is an Italian sprinter.

Earlier in his career Donati came mostly at the 400 - meter hurdles before he specialized in the shorter flat stretches from 2007. In 2009 he was nominated Italian Champion in the 200 meter race and then for the world championships in Berlin. There he finished sixth with the Italian 4-by- 100 - meter relay.

His most significant success until then celebrated Donati at the European Athletics Championships 2010 in Barcelona by winning the silver medal in the 4 x 100 - meter relay behind the French and against the German team. It turned the Italian relay in the cast Roberto Donati, Simone Collio, Emanuele Di Gregorio and Maurizio Checcucci with a time of 38.17 seconds for a national record.

Roberto Donati starts as a sports soldier for the Centro Sportivo Esercito, the Sports Development Centre of the Army. His older brother Massimiliano is also successful as a sprinter.
