Rocky Romero

John Rivera ( born October 28, 1982 in Havana ), better known by his ring name Rocky Romero, is a Cuban professional wrestler. He currently performs regularly at various independent promotions. One of his biggest successes was the dreichfache receipt of the ROH World Tag Team Championship.
Career
Rivera trained in different countries. In the U.S., he trained under Jesse Hernandez in the " School Of Hard Knocks " in San Bernardino, California. In Japan, he trained in the New Japan Dojo ( the wrestling school of New Japan Pro-Wrestling ) under Antonio Inoki and Togi Makabe. In addition, Rivera trained in Mexico Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre in under Negro Casas.
Independent
After he had completed his training joined Rivera on at various independent promotions. His first title, the EWF Tag Team Championship he won at the Empire Wrestling Federation along with Ricky Reyes. With this he was for many years a tag team.
From 2002 to 2004 Rivera appeared several times in New Japan Pro Wrestling ( NJPW ).
On 12 September 2003 won Rivera, Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre at the newly introduced CMLL World Super Lightweight Championship.
In July 2004, Rivera debuted in Ring of Honor ( ROH). There he formed with Ricky Reyes, the tag team The Havana Pitbulls. On August 7, 2004, she won the ROH World Tag Team Championship from The Second City Saints (CM Punk and Colt Cabana ). End of 2004, Rivera and Reyes joined the stable The Rottweilers (consisting of Homicide, Julius Smokes and Low Ki ) to. With this, they fehdeten against Bryan Danielson. On February 19, 2005 Rivera and Reyes gave the ROH World Tag Team Championship from BJ Whitmer and Dan Maff to. In May 2005, Rivera returned to NJPW. There, he joined as a Black Tiger with mask on. In NJPW, he won on 8 October 2005, the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship from Tiger Mask IV
In January 2006, Rivera participated at Westside Xtreme Wrestling ( wXw ) in Germany on 16 Carat Gold Tournament.
In March 2007, he signed a contract with ROH. There he joined " No Remorse Corps " ( Davey Richards and Roderick Strong). With these feuded Rivera against the Stable " Resilience " (consisting of Austin Aries, Matt Cross and Erick Stevens). 26 January 2008 Rivera won with Davey Richards ROH World Tag Team Championship. The title they gave from to The Briscoes (Jay and Mark Briscoe ) on April 12, 2008.
2008 Rivera appeared several times in Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre as a Grey Shadow. In October 2008 he formed at NJPW with Negro Casas the Caribbean Tag Team Syndicate. Together they took part in the G1 days League.
