Rodrigo Santana called Rodrigão ( born April 17, 1979 in São Paulo) is a Brazilian volleyball player.

Career

Rodrigão began his career in 1996 in Suzano and in the same year, Brazilian champion. In 2000 he moved to EC Banespa. In the following year won the middle blocker with the Brazilian national team's World League and the South American Championship. 2002 won the Brazilian with Rodrigão in the World Cup final against Russia. In 2003, she repeated the success in the world league as well as in the continental championship and also won the World Cup. Then, the middle blocker played one season with the Italian first division Estense Ferrara Torri. In 2004 he took part in the Olympic tournament, where Brazil won the gold medal with a victory against Italy. After the third double victory in World League and World Grand Prix 2005, he returned to Italy. In Lube Macerata he replaced one fatal injury players. With the Italian team won the 2006 Rodrigão the national championship and the CEV Cup. 2007 Brazil was again successful in the World Cup. The following year Rodrigão played in Beijing his second Olympic tournament; this time his national team was defeated in the final the USA. In 2009 he joined the Brazilian club EC Pinheiros and 2011 to league rivals SESI São Paulo. At the Olympic Games in London in 2012 he again won the silver medal with Brazil. After half a season in 2013 with RJX Rio de Janeiro Rodrigão went in early 2014 in Iran to Barij Essence Kashan.
