Rodrigo Barbosa Tabata ( born November 19, 1980 in Araçatuba, SP, Brazil) is a Brazilian football player with Japanese ancestry.

Career

Rodrigo Tabata began his career in Jundiaí in the state of São Paulo in the youth of Paulista FC. He is of Japanese descent. In 1999 he made ​​his debut for the professional team. Then we went for Tabata 1999-2003 to 11 Brazilian teams.

In 2004 he moved to Goiás EC and played for the first time in Brazil at the national level in the top division of the Série A. Between 2006 and 2008 he played at the famous Santos FC, ​​also in the Brazilian Série A and he reached with the team in 2007, the semifinals of the Copa Libertadores.

For the 2008/09 season, the midfielder joined the UEFA room and signed with the Turkish first division side Gaziantepspor.
