Rogelio Cabrera López

Rogelio Cabrera López ( born January 24, 1951 in Santa Catarina ) is Archbishop of Monterrey.

Life

Rogelio Cabrera López received on 17 November 1978, the ordination.

Pope John Paul II appointed him on 30 April 1996 as Bishop of Tacámbaro. The Apostolic Nuncio in Mexico, Girolamo Prigione, donated to him on 30 May of the same year, the episcopal ordination; Were co-consecrators Mario de Gašperin Gašperin, Bishop of Querétaro, and Alberto Suárez Inda, Archbishop of Morelia.

On 16 July 2001 he was appointed Bishop of Tapachula and 11 September 2004 as Bishop of Tuxtla Gutierrez. With the elevation to an archdiocese on 25 November 2006, he was appointed Archbishop of Tuxtla Gutierrez. Pope Benedict XVI. appointed him on October 3, 2012 for the Archbishop of Monterrey. The solemn inauguration followed on 5 December of the same year.
