Roger Mudd

Roger Harrison Mudd ( born February 9, 1928 in Washington DC) is an American television presenter, journalist and newscaster.

Life

Mudd graduated from Washington and Lee University and the University of North Carolina. After finishing his studies, he worked as a reporter for The Richmond News Leader in Richmond, Virginia, and for the radio station WRNL. In the late 1950s he moved to Washington, D.C. where he worked for the mission WTOP News. As of May 1961, he worked for the News newscast CBS. In 1980 he moved to NBC and was moderator of NBC News. Over 10 years of Mudd was also a presenter at the TV channel The History Channel.

From 1987 to 1992 he worked as a political correspondent for the MacNeil - teacher NewsHour on PBS television. Mudd was with EJ Spears, who died in 2001, married and had four children with her.
