Rogówek, Kłodzko County

Rogówek ( German Werdeck ) is a village in the powiat Kłodzki in Lower Silesia. It is located about nine kilometers southeast of Klodzko ( Glatz ), whose rural community it belongs to.

Geography

Rogówek lies west of Reichensteiner Mountains. Neighboring towns are Jaszkowa Gorna and Droszków in the northeast, Skrzynka in the east, Ołdrzychowice Kłodzkie in the southwest and Żelazno and Marcinów in the West. To the north rises the 425 m high Wygon ( Gallows Hill ), east of the 697 m high Bzowiec ( Saddle vice Mountain).

History

Werdeck belonged to Glatzer country with which it shared the story of his political and religious affiliation from the beginning. It was gepfarrt by Heinz village, which is demonstrated for 1384 as a vicarage. First known owner was 1294 Henry of Beringen, probably the Heinz village belonged. He grant on January 29, 1300 Being good Werdeck the Glatzer St. John Coming to the condition that from the proceeds of sacramental wine for the Glatzer parish church of the Assumption, St. Wenceslas Church, the chapel and the hospital church was to be acquired. After 1626 the Knights Upcoming reached the Glatzer Jesuit College, was this also the village Werdeck.

After the Silesian Wars Werdeck came together with the county of Glatz in 1763 with the Peace of Hubertusburg to Prussia. After the dissolution of the Jesuit order in 1776 Werdeck was leased together with the Jesuit estate in Niederschwedeldorf to the Prussian Royal School Institute. From this it acquired in 1788 the royal upper mountain director Friedrich Wilhelm von Reden. For the year 1815 four farmers and four cottagers are detected.

After the reorganization of Prussia Werdeck belonged since 1815 to the province of Silesia and was from 1816 the county Glatz incorporated, with which it was connected until 1945. For February 28, 1874 was the integration of the rural community Werdeck in the District Ullersdorf. 1925 counted 45 inhabitants. For October 1, 1936 Werdeck the rural community Ullersdorf was slammed. As a result of the Second World War, it fell in 1945 as almost all of Silesia to Poland and was renamed Rogówek. The German population was expelled. The new inhabitants were partly displaced persons from eastern Poland. From 1945 Rogówek belonged to the voivodeship Wrocław Voivodeship for 1975-1998 and Wałbrzych.
