Roland Reber

Roland Reber ( born August 11, 1954 in Ludwigshafen am Rhein ) is a German film director, writer and actor.

Life

He worked after his training at drama school in Bochum as an actor and director at theaters in Bochum, Dusseldorf, Essen and Hamburg and founded the theater Pathological Institute ( TPI ), and later the Theatre Institute emerged from the. Actors like Jochen Nickel, Fairy axis ( main actress and deputy artistic director ), Tirzah Bruncken, Carsten Lorenz, Joe Bausch, Frank and Thomas Hoelz computational collected their first stage experience here.

He was founder and director of the world - theater - project (in collaboration with the German, Russian, Caribbean and Mexican Commission for UNESCO in the framework of the World Decade for Cultural Development of the United Nations ). Reber wrote numerous plays, screenplays and poetry. He was with fairy axis teacher for acting and directing in Moscow, New Delhi, Cairo and the Caribbean (Kingston, Jamaica and Nassau, Bahamas).

His first feature film, " You have my soul bent like a beautiful dancer ," he turned in 1980 with members of the ensemble of the Schauspielhaus Bochum. Since 1999, Reber director is wtp international in film production in Munich and received six international film awards ( among others in Hollywood, Chicago and Melbourne). He was a jury member at the International Film Festival in Cairo, Alexandria and Dakha. He was until 2008 an official representative of the Cairo International Film Festival for Germany and General representative of the Damascus International Film Festival for Europe. At the International Film Festival of Sitges 2007 Reber was appointed to the international panel of judges. At the film festival Fanta Porto in Porto in 2008, he was also in the international jury.

His film Angels with Dirty Wings (2009 ) had its international premiere on October 10, 2009 at the International Film Festival in Sitges. The Germany premiere took place at the Hof Film Festival 2009. In November 2009, Roland Reber honored with a retrospective at the International Film Festival of India, where all of his films were shown. His film 24/7 The Passion of Life was awarded the Jury Prize for Best Film at the 1.Faversham Film Festival, Kent in England. His current feature film Illusion Germany celebrated its premiere at the Hof Film Festival 2013. Overall, already ran four movies of Roland Reber at the Hof Film Days.
