Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Lubango

The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Lubango (Latin: Archidioecesis Lubangensis ) comprises the province of Huíla, more territories in the south of Angola.

History

On July 27, 1955, the diocese was Sá da Bandeira founded, which was at first suffragan of the Archdiocese of Luanda. On February 3, 1977, the diocese was elevated to archdiocese itself and was named Lubango.
