Roman Catholic Diocese of Angra

The Diocese of Angra (Latin: Dioecesis Angrensis ) is a location in Portugal Roman Catholic diocese based in Angra do Heroismo.

History

The Diocese of Angra was posted on November 3, 1534 by Pope Paul III. built with the Apostolic Constitution Aequum reputamus of cessions of territory of the Archdiocese of Funchal and this is a suffragan. On July 3, 1551 the Diocese of Angra was subordinated to the Patriarchate of Lisbon suffragan.
