The Diocese of Borongan (Latin: Dioecesis Boronganensis ) is a location in the Philippines Roman Catholic diocese based in Borongan City.

History

The Diocese of Borongan was posted on October 22, 1960 by Pope John XXIII. built with the Apostolic Constitution Quod sacri Calbayogani of cessions of territory of the Diocese of Calbayog and the Archdiocese of Cebu is a suffragan. On 5 December 1974, the Diocese of Borongan were parts of its territory from the foundation of the Diocese of Catarman. The Diocese of Borongan was placed under the Archdiocese of Palo, suffragan on 15 November 1982.
