Roman Catholic Diocese of Dumaguete

The Diocese of Dumaguete (Latin: Dioecesis Dumaguete ) is a location in the Philippines Roman Catholic diocese based in Dumaguete City.

History

The Diocese of Dumaguete was born on April 5, 1955 by Pope Pius XII. with the Apostolic Constitution Sanctissima ea verba built out of territory of the Diocese of Bacolod and the Archdiocese of Cebu is a suffragan. On March 30, 1987, the diocese was Dumaguete parts of its territory from the foundation of the Diocese of San Carlos.

The Diocese of Dumaguete includes the provinces of Negros Oriental and Siquijor.
