Roman Catholic Diocese of Nakhon Ratchasima

The Diocese of Nakhon Ratchasima (Latin: Dioecesis Nakhonratchasimaensis, Thai: เขต มิส ซัง นครราชสีมา ) is a Roman Catholic diocese based in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand.

Organization

The 41148 km ² large diocese covers the provinces of Buri Ram, Chaiyaphum and Nakhon Ratchasima. It is a suffragan of the Archdiocese of Thare and Nonseng.

History

Pope Paul VI. founded the Apostolic Vicariate Nakhorn - Rajasima with the Apostolic Constitution Cum Populus Dei on March 22, 1965 from annexations of the Apostolic Vicariate of Ubon.

With the Bull Qui in fastigio it was raised on 18 December of the same year the diocese. On July 2, 1969, adopted the current name.
