Roman Catholic Diocese of Puntarenas

The Diocese of Puntarenas (Latin: Dioecesis Puntarenensis ) is a location in Costa Rica Roman Catholic diocese based in Puntarenas.

History

The Diocese of Puntarenas was erected on 17 April 1998 by Pope John Paul II with the Apostolic Constitution Sacrorum Antistites of annexations of the dioceses of San Isidro de El General and Tilarán and the Archdiocese of San José de Costa Rica is a suffragan.
