Roman Catholic Diocese of Rourkela

The Diocese of Rourkela (Latin: Dioecesis Rurkelaensis ) is a located in India Roman Catholic diocese based in Rourkela.

History

Pope John Paul II founded it with the Apostolic Constitution Cum cordi Potissimum on July 4, 1979 of territory of the Diocese of Sambalpur and it became the Archdiocese of Cuttack -Bhubaneswar assumed as suffragan.

Territory

The Diocese of Raiganj comprises the districts of Sundargarh, Sambalpur, Bolangir and Dhenkanal in the state of Odisha.
