History

The Diocese of Sorsogon was posted on June 29, 1951 by Pope Pius XII. built with the Apostolic Constitution Quo in Republica Filipina out of territory of the Archdiocese of Caceres and this is a suffragan. On March 23, 1968, the Diocese of Sorsogon were parts of its territory from the foundation of the Diocese of Masbate.
