Roman Catholic Diocese of Tehuantepec

The Diocese of Tehuantepec (Latin: Dioecesis Tehuantepecensis, Spanish: diócesis de Tehuantepec ) is a location in Mexico Roman Catholic diocese based in Tehuantepec.

History

The Diocese of Tehuantepec was posted on June 23, 1891 by Pope Leo XIII. built out of territory of the Diocese of Antequera and the Archdiocese of Mexico City is a suffragan. On 29 June 1951, the Diocese of Tehuantepec was the archbishopric of Veracruz- Jalapa, is a suffragan. The Diocese of Tehuantepec announced on May 23, 1959 from parts of its territory to the foundation of built by the Apostolic Constitution Quibus Christianized Diocese of San Andrés Tuxtla. On February 13, 1960, the Diocese of Tehuantepec was by Pope John XXIII. exemplum the Archdiocese of Antequera assumed with the Apostolic Constitution Christ suffragan.
