Roman Catholic Diocese of Thunder Bay

The Diocese of Thunder Bay (Latin: sine Dioecesis Tonitralis ) is a location in Canada Roman Catholic diocese based in Thunder Bay.

History

The Diocese of Thunder Bay was April 29, 1952 by Pope Pius XII. with the Apostolic Constitution Cotidiano prope erected as Diocese of Fort William from cessions of territory of the Archdiocese of Saint -Boniface and the Diocese of Sault Sainte Marie and the Archdiocese of Toronto is a suffragan. On February 26, 1970, the Diocese of Fort William was renamed the Diocese of Thunder Bay.
